Georgina "Gina" Contel is the founder and head professor of Coragem Jiu-Jitsu in Barcelona and a second-degree black belt. She has built a long international competitive record in the IBJJF, winning gold at four world championships in gi and no-gi and at three European championships, along with numerous podium finishes at other international events, which the academy says has made her one of the most recognised competitors in Spain. The school states that its teaching draws on more than 16 years of international competition and more than 10 years of coaching students of all ages and levels. Contel teaches the academy's fundamentals, no-gi, kids, junior and teen classes, and describes an approach that combines technique, discipline and passion so that students progress on and off the mat.
