Detailed Description
Michael Allen is the founder and head instructor of Real American Grappling in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he holds a 3rd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu recognized under the IBJJF. Students describe him as knowledgeable in both BJJ and catch wrestling and note that he presents material in a way that is simple to understand. Allen has developed the academy's instructors from within. Dan Schnitzler trained there from white belt and received his black belt from Allen in November 2022, and the teaching staff includes other long-time members who came up through his program.
